BLOODSPORT (1988)
This film is based on events in the life of Frank Dux, an American who sought to become the champion of a secret, dangerous, martial arts contest called Kumite. The exciting climax of the film is the Kumite itself, when Dux faces the imposing, undefeated Chong Li.

Excellent fight scenes and a good story, they dont make em like this any more - no cgi and wires.

Fletch is one of my all time greatest movies ever !!!!
Loosely based on the book by Gregory McDonald, director Michael Ritchie's FLETCH is a laugh-out-loud comedy that features a classic performance by Chevy Chase, who stars as Irwin M Fletcher "Fletch".  
Ive watched this movie every night for 15 years. - "Fletch is one of my heroes." -
THERES GAG'S WHERE YOU DONT EVEN THINK THERE'S A GAG, CLASSIC !

No Retreat, No Surrender 2 (1989)
High in the dense Vietnamese jungle a Soviet-American battle is brewing. When Scott Wylde's Thai fiancee is kidnapped, he vows revenge and plots her rescue with the help of two kick ass side kicks.

I love this movie - if you can look past the terible acting, the fight scenes are really cool.  Before the time of the MATRIX, CGI and WIRES there was No Retreat, No Surrender 2.

The best of the No Retreat series.

Predator (1987) 
Science fiction, action and horror at its best - Schwarzenegger, Carl Weathers, Jesse Ventura. An elite team on a mission to rescue hostages from a guerrilla group in Central America. Unknowingly, the group is hunted by an extraterrestrial lifeform.

This movie is so good, its Schwarzenegger at his best, the action is fast and believeable and the Predator has got to be the greatest all time movie monster, EVER !

A Chicago mafia is violently doing away with witness who were to incriminate them in court.  Schwarzenegger is the ex-FBI agent who fakes his death to slip into the organization, Violence and bloodshed, as Schwarzenegger delivers his own brand of justice!

 TIME BANDITS (1982) 
Another one of my all time favourite movie's.
Time Bandits is a remarkable time-travel fantasy from Terry Gilliam, who utilizes fantastic set design and homemade special effects to create a vivid, original universe.

This film is dark for children's film, at times a grimly comic fairy tale, Time Bandits offers little reassurance. It's a tough world out there--even in your imagination.

Valkyrie (2008)

Based on a the true story of cadre of Nazi officers who grew to oppose Hitler's murderous pursuits and made several attempts to kill him in the late stages of WWII.

This movie started really good with lots of action and Tom Cruise getting shot in the eye, sadly he survived.  The action kind of stopped 10mins into the movie and Cruise done his thing, if it wasn't for the solid British supporting cast this movie would have been dull. 
I found it hard to look past the American and British accents and actually believe that the movie was about Germany.

I was never bored, and the period detail is lovingly observed; but there is a sense of an opportunity missed.

WEIRD SCIENCE (1985)
Teenage geeks Gary and Wyatt are sick of being ignored by girls, abused by cool guys, and forced to spend their weekend nights watching nerdy old sci-fi movies.  Left alone for the weekend and wearing bra's on their heads they use Wyatt's computer to create Lisa, a stunningly beautiful woman with a body that stops traffic.

Guilty pleasure classic, Anthony Michael Hall's character's drunken rambles hold a shining place in the pop culture hall of fame.

Zack and Miri Make a Porno (2008)

As its explicit title suggests, Kevin Smith's ZACK AND MIRI MAKE A PORNO is a foul-mouthed and filthy film.
This is a canny good comedy, if you like Clerks and Mall Rats, Smith has been the pioneered to this kind of upfront sex chat, but 'Zack and Miri' feels uncomfortably like a gruesome game of filth-talk which gets a little too soppy towards the middle/end.
